I just got my latest magazine from one of the other clubs. WICKED!!! they had a article on a 356 racer fitted with 2 engines and trannys. that cruised at 140 + speeds. I am re luctant to skan in any photos.

But if any one has seen a a web site with it. It was called a Fageol twin 356.

There were several versons of it but this one looks like a rocket.

Barry,

Emerson & Wilson Fittipaldi (Both raced F1 and Emerson was Cart Champion & Indy 500 Winner) buit a twin engine Type 1 VW utilizing only 1 Transaxel when they were starting out racing. I saw the artilcle in Autoweek many years age.

There as also a USAC dual 911 Porsche powered car W/two Transaxels (One Engine front/one rear) 4 Wheel Drive Formula Car that made an attempt to quality for the Indy 500 in the late 1960's. The vehicle could only manage roughly 165+MPH and this wasn't quick enough to qualify.
