I'm installing a Blue Bosche Coil. It doesn't have a plus or minus on it. Is there a plus and minus posts on this type of coil and how do you tell which is which?
Also, how many wires go to the Altenator and where do they come from and go to? My Altenator has a screw post and a slip on post coming out of a plastic box attached to the top of the Altenator.

The slip on terminal goes to a switched 12v source - like from the generator or alternator light on the dash. This is the regulator input. You need a light (or some voltage dropping source) in this line. As I understand it, the alternator output must be higher that the reference voltage (from light) to extinguish the bulb. If the light doesn't go out when the car is started, or until the throttle is blapped, try a higher wattage bulb. If that doesn't work, you probably have alt. or reg. problems. The bolt on one goes to the battery cable on the starter. It is the alt. output and needs a connection to the battery.
