A couple days ago, I finally got off my duff and went to Annapolis to catch up with Fred McKenney and his red IM. That was pretty cool.
He's got an Avanti (Studebaker type, not Monte), and two Griffith racers in his garage along with the IM. Really nice guy; we spent the day poking over old race car parts, talking about 'glass and carbon fiber and he showed me his high volume, low pressure paint system. Cool stuff -- 90 percent of what you aim at the car ... sticks to the car. Not a whole lot of vapor recovery required.
Anyway, great guy. I probably spent about six hours there, just looking at his stuff.
I was late for dinner with Kelly and his wonderful girlfriend, but we went to the usual joint. If you haven't been there and you live in the area, the Ram's Head in Savage Mill is a top-notch casual place with a fantastic menu.
We Marylanders ought to think about that place as a destination for a fall cruise. I'd say it's probably worth the drive for Virginians and Pennslytuckians, too. And the colors are 'bout ready to change ...

I really want to see Freds car. I need some reference stuff and compare some stuff.

Those are the exact same wheels I had when I bought mine. And my driver side mirror is that far out on the fender (don't have a passenger side). I was going to relocate my mirror to the door but I haven't tried it yet. I think it'll be too close and limit what I can see in it.
