There have been a lot of questions about reliability on this site; here's two excerpts from a recent CLF posts:

"My good friend XXXXX has daily commuted in his 2016cc for the
last 90,000 miles, with no problems except Kennedy pressure plate
failure. This motor has seen it all, desert heat, drag racing,
spin outs on Highway 5....still going and going. And....he built
most of it!"

"I drive a 2275 with a 86B, 44idf's, 10:1 compression, etc., daily.. no real problems..." (N/T)

These are both early VW sedans, so stop worrying and drive your car...:o)

Once again, those are excerpts.....Where is YOUR personal proof? I have a 200,000 mile 1600 singleport engine in my 62 Microbus, its a TI and the only TI that I think has any decent longevity.

George, I think someone could go to the CLF, make an anonymous post, then come back here and ask a question pertaining to the same thing, and before the guy got a chance to check his email, you would have copied and pasted the information here........WOW!
