I hope you can answer this question. Started my freshly build 2.0 type 4 yesterday for the first time. As i was trying to us my timing light, i notice that on Jakes pulley there is not timing mark on the outside. So how do you set the timing on the pulley? Is it TDC marked on the numbers at 0 or or is it set at 50 were it sounds the smoothes? I don't what to make a mistake in breaking this motor in, can't afford costly repairs.

Thanks
James

All kits are shipped with the video and instruction booklet. If not the instructions are available at www.aircooledtechnology.com/cooling.htm

All pulleys have the timing marks either silkscreened, lazer etched or milled into them via CNC, its all dependant upon the age of the kit and when it was bought- the most recent kits have our new billet CNC pulleys..

Remember- if you need support, the only answers that are 100% accurate come from me only, take advantage of my customer service and shoot questions directly this way... :-)

BTW- where an engine "sounds smoothest" is generally 10 degrees too far advanced, and 3-4 degrees of timing can make or break the engine's power or melt pistons. Timing doesn't play!

Only your engine builder can specify timing for your particular engine, generic settings don't cut it.
