Just saw these. I don't need 'em, but somebody here might want them.
No connection to the seller.

Same idea for the Type I; same source. Seller calls him/herself onoffroad, out of Orange, Calif.
Somebody here already has these; Danny, I think. Again, no connection to the seller.

I bought a set of type 1 covers from Larry Jowdy. Check out the thread on Spyderclub.com. They are nice looking, I have not mounted and tried them for oil leak quality. They seem like a nice thing if you have a Carrera script on the car. A car like Warren White's, that is approaching "REAL" Carrera looks might give a skeptical looker who checks authenticity by looking at valve covers a little head scratch time. My dream is to have a car that fools 95% of the lookers. The other 5% that figure it out I reserve the "Yeah, it's better than a real one!"
Thanks, Larry!
I have my next set of plain-Jane Type IV valve covers already, from Carey and, indirectly, Jake. They're tapped and AN-fitted, eagerly waiting to be connected to the stainless breather Carey also provided. I need a couple more annodized 180-degree parts first, but they'll connect a wad of braided stainless lines together and drain back into my filler neck.
I like the look of the embossed covers. Very cool, but my car's so unorthodox already that I wouldn't be keeping any secrets by installing them.
I'm very impressed by the workmanship, though. They sure do look nice.
