I took off the door panel on my IM to fix the roll up window and want to get it put back on correctly. I noticed there was an adhesive on it to keep moisture out. Does anyone know what type it is? It seems to be tacky but does not harden.

Rubber based Weldwood or Elmers Contact cement?
Not sure what type they used.
Was it hard to remove the inner door handle, I thought of adding door insulation but push as I could on the plastic ring I could not see the holding pin.
No it wasn't difficult. Just need to put some pressure on it to take the screw out. I am going to add some as well to give the colors a more solid sound.
Ray - Don't push on the plastic ring (bezel), push on the door panel behind it. The pin is between the bezel and the panel.
And it's a pretty small pin - like 1/8" diameter. You'll need a really small punch to tap it out, but it should not be very tight (mine would fall out if it weren't for the plastic ring holding them in).

And don't drop the pin!
If you do you can make one from a nail or a coat hanger. It's pretty low tech.
My IM uses a allen screw and not a pin.
