Aircooled.net has a sidewinder exhaust system listed.

http://www.aircooled.net/new-bin/viewproductdetail.php?keyword2=MEH0030&cartid=1117200584723877

Available as 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 dia tubing.
Does anyone have one of these on their Speedster?
I'm looking for results opinion, installation ease and Satisfaction level of how it looks and works.

I've asked this question of Aircooled.net, but it would be good to have an actual users opinion too.

With the Magnaflow muffler they recommend for this system, the price tag is about (gulp) $800.

Greg, I bought one of these systems, and am extremely pleased with the quality and fit.
A-1, I believe is the manufacturer of the sidewinder Aircooled.net is selling - their number is 714-832-7201.
A-1 can fabricate any size diameter you require.

Gene Berg is now advertising 1-1/2, 1-5/8 and 1-3/4 merged systems with heater boxes - this might be worth a look as well.
I have an 1-5/8" exhaust system from A 1 on my 2110. I'm running without heater boxes. I am very impressed with the performance as well as the increase in power. The system was very loud with the small magnaflow so I added an extended tailpiece along with a small restricter.

Including installation I am into this for less than $800.00

David, Terry,
I really like the collector on the sidewinder, but I'm concerned about ground clearance and appearance. Is the ground clearance a problem?
The photo of the Black Speedster is one that Aircooled.net sent me.
The photo of the Red Speedster is mine with a Scat header intended for a VW bug.
The ones that Kirk at Vintage sells or at least used to sell tucks up even higher than that. I think the header part on that one is intended for a VW Thing. The compromise is looks over performance. The std. config. extractors don't have collector as nice as the Sidewinder.

Greg, I also have a sidewinder (1 5/8") from A-1
with the magnaflow on my 2332cc. I am very happy
with it. Like David, I scraped a couple times going
into my driveway but now drive in at an angle with no
problems. My exhaust exits out of the center, but
I think you can get it to exit out of the right hand
side to get more ground clearance.

I have been lookng for something more like this But it still needs a little more work.

Im hoping I can resolve the ground clearance issue, by tweeking a t-2 version exhaust into a something more like a tuckaway muffler with a baffle tip Im putting one on my new bug engine first I want to use it as the guenny pig. Sence I drive it most. Ill find out quicker.
Barry,
The set up from Tiger is a one size fits all semi custom.
When I got mine I had some modifications done to it.
First, as per my request, Tiger welded the muffler flat, rather than at an angle, so I could have clearance to my valve cover. I should have left it alone because it dropped the muffler a good inch below my deep sump. it resulted in having to raise the rear end so I don't scrape the muffler.
Second, the tailpipe exited out 5" and dropped straight down, resulting in a very loud exhaust and a tone that was very irritating under WOT. Also, because I live on a gravel road, the straight down exhaust made quite a dust cloud. I added to the tailpipe and also added a resonator. I had the pipe exit on the driver's side straight out.
I guess what I'm saying is plan on ordering your exhaust and fine tuning it yourself.
