Undercoating the body

What have you used to undercaot the body? Paint or can unercoat? I was told by one speedster owner not to use undercoat because its not ggod on fiberglass. Any sugguestion.... Need to have this done before it goes to the paint shop.

I had my new car undercoated with pick-up bed liner material (Rhino-Lining or the like). It's a good idea.

Thats the same stuff i used on the pan. I'll buy more and do the underbody this weekend

I just used your regular auto parts tar based undercoat spray cans to touch up my car's pan when it came from the shop. It looks like it was used in my car ('68 chassis) since it was new and it has preserved it for all these years without rust, so I figured it was a good idea to touch it up even though VS did put new undercoating on when they built the car. The good thing is that it's pretty economical too.

Use the rhino-line or similiar product. Much more durable and thicker bodied. It is more expensive but definately worth it. Adheres to everything - so mask with great care. We have it inside the trunk, under the engine cover, in the fenderwells, etc., of our spyder. angela
