I have an unfinished CMC speedster that I need to sell quickly and willing to be very reasonable on the price. The car is in Galveston and unfortunately was there during hurricane Ike. The chassis was under water for several days and the body for several weeks. The chassis is ready to go with the exception of the brakes which will probably need to be completely rebuilt or replaced. It has disc brakes on all four wheels. The front and rear axles have been narrowed several inches in order to run wider tires. I have most of the parts to complete the car with the exception of the windshield. I also have a transmission, which was in good shape before the flood, but the engine did not survive. I don

Ron, I'm not in the market for a car, but it might be a good idea to clarify whether the beam and torsion were cut to narrow the track. If so, was the finish welding done before or after the flood, and have the tubes been cleaned out? The bearings and such might also use a little clarification; are they new since the flooding, or were they refurbished after?
Those welds might be something you want to include in your photos, as well as any modifications to the rear suspension setup.
If it was a swing-axle car, you may want to include pictures of the torsion covers and spring blades; if it was IRS, you'll probably want to stipulate the company which made the narrower IRS arms.
My two cents; some folks -- especially with your offer to be fairly reasonable on your sale price -- may not care about those things. Some might.
Good luck!
