I am in the process of building a 356 Speedster. I am the forth owner of the unfinished kit. I don't know the name of the kit manufacturer, but was told by the first owner that it came out of Mexico, from a company that was now defunct named "Premier".

The three previous owners [located in (1)Houston, (2)Corpus Christy, (3)Maryland] told me that the kit might have come from a company named "Premier".

The body/subframe are quite similar to the CMC/Fiberfab kits, but there are some differences. The most noticable is that the door latch mechanisms(69 VW)mount below the exterior door handle as opposed to most that I've seen which seem to mount above the exterior door handle. Additionally, the reinforcement sheet metal for the latch will have to mount inside of the door, not the exterior of the door. The exterior door handle operates directly upon the release lever of the door latch.

Does anyone have knowledge of the manufacturer?
