It has been two weeks since I took delivery my my Auratium Green 2011 VS. Love it. I could not stand the stock shift knob and purchased a plain ivory color round knob from American Shifter Co. which is much more comfortable. Today, I added a LED third brake light inside the grill after having someone come too close to me last week while I was waiting to make a left-hand turn. I also ordered 3" lap belts from Crow which will be here next week. Also see the cake pic below. Some friends came over for dinner, and brought this for dessert.

Question: What is the fuel-related device in the pic below, and what number should it be set at for a standard VS 1915 cc motor? Thanks all.

Jeff

Jeff, the cake  should read "Let the madness begin".

Car looks good. As others have said, that wheelie gig thing is a fuel pressure regulator. Dual carbs need a specific range of fuel pressure. Too much pressure and they can flood the motor really easily. Too little and you get another set of issues.  If you're not having fuel related issues, don't start mucking with it.

Have fun with the new car. She is a beauty.

Thanks everyone. Wife and I went for a 100+ mile cruise on Sunday. Plus today I drove to work which is a touch over 30 miles round trip. As bad as the day was, I did not give a sh$% by the time I arrived home. I am starting to "get it."

In an earlier post, I mentioned a gas leak from around where the sending unit is located. It occurs when I fill the tank. One of the screw holes is stripped. I tried using another screw confirming that it is not the screw. Short of not filling the tank, do any of you have any suggestions? I am not sure if it is a through hole or not. I was thinking of retapping (carefully, of course) for a larger screw or adding another gasket to get more "squeeze." Worst case, I can order a new tank from Kirk, but I would rather not do it. I am open to suggestions.
