Well this was a good weekend.

I've had this on the back burner since about 8-9 months (at least) ago.

Buying a ready made one locally isn't an option as there are none and the one that the local makers make just covers the top and doens't wrap around like the original, so I've had to fab my own. I'm currently on body filler stage and sand..sand..........sand.

By this weekend, I should be able to do final trim as well as fabbing of the eyebrow and mounting brackets for the dash as well as the eyebrow. Getting the curve right has been a mission of note. I had to bend it out somewhat so that I could make it look good, but still make it looks stock - ish.

Once this is done, I can continue with the rear access panel for my ECU and storage as well as deadening the crap out of it. Also fitting the duzzz'x that corey sent my way..........dude, watch your post box....lol.

The battery panel has also been rough fabbed. This still needs a lot of work, but allows me to now, drop in a 610 and still get my battery mounted in the front of the car as well as a space saver wheel.

lol @ the knight comment.........

Well to get where I am with the dash has maybe taken 2 days of actual working on it, so I know if I pull finger, I get this done in the next few days. I have a full saterday to work on it, so I should get the pad ready for 3mm sponge and wrap it as well by the following weekend.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.....

Yup, just lowered the battery, the rest is pretty much stock. There are quite a lot of differences with our cars and the CMC's, for starters our fuel tanks are located way forward and moving this back and inverting the tank would be able to get a spare in there without even modding the floor. I may still play around with this someday.

3-4"??? Whoa, that may be cutting it fine. I dropped mine a little under 2" and i think that I was pushing it a bit, but it seems to be okay so far, all depends on how low you are up front.

I have the car pretty low up front and driving the normal roads that I do, I've had zero issues so far, I had a 3" tub that was underneath for the spare to slot into (battery out back) and it hit everything.
