Just replaced the sealed beams with Hella Halogens with the H2 bulbs and did a valve adjustment on my vintage. The headlight conversion is well worth it-low beans brighter with a wider field of vision, high beams brighter with more distance. On the valve adj- three were off by only .001  but the car idles smoother and quieter. I last adjusted the valves 2500 miles ago-engine built to 1915 cc last winter. I replaced the tires last week with Veredsteins-the originals were eight years old. The most wear was on the insides of the rears-is this normal with swing axles? I've been running 22-24lbs air.

Tires had 8000 miles but never rotated. Car is almost ready for our third year at Carlisle. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

David,

I purchased the lights from www.jegs.com.They are Hella Vision Plus Halogen Conversion Headlamp 7 inch dia. Part no. 288-002393301. The HB2 Bulb is included. The cost is $37.39 each.Free shipping in US,I don't know about Canada.I received them four days after ordering.

Easy installation-hardest part was getting the springs back that hold the retaining rings- I cheated and used a few self tapping screws.

My wife and myself had an enjoyable dinner with you and your wife two years ago at Carlisle-hope to hook up with you again,

.

Joel
