Upper rear signal lights

Your idea of mounting them in the louvers is about the best that I can come up with, too, but...

The thing that came immediately to mind was a pair of Semaphores like on the older Bugs, mounted just behind the doors in that open cavity, like this:

Use your arm...it works really well!

Especially on dark nights.

Gordon, that was about the only other thing I could think of too.

No reason that you couldn't use a short set of diodes in the rear grill on each side maybe oriented up and down.  If they are flashing I would think that would convey the idea.  I did the same with the 'third' brake light and those suckers are very bright.

Bill, I get it and do use my arms when convenient and appropriate for the situation but it's a real bugger to do with the roof up and side curtains in place. I drive in all conditions but snow. Further, my left shoulder is phucked again and some kind of arthritis causes much pain just raising my left arm, having broken that left arm much earlier in life.

Most of the time, when I DO use my arm(s), it's just to point at someone and then give them the finger......

Oh, wait - That's usually when I'm on my bike.....I think.

Bob do the Carrera fins again and have Henry put some LED turn signals in them (like my reverse lights). 

David,  I picked up some short diode sets at Autozone.  There were I think 2 sets of four lights each.  I ran wire from them down to the brake light wire on one side and tapped in. Mounted under the grill in the topmost position.  About US $15.00. For blinkers maybe you could just split them on either side of the grill inside, hopefully hidden for the most part, and wire individually to each blinker.  I think that the background of the diodes is black so not that easy to see otherwise.  The ones I found can also be cut at specific places is the chain of lights if you require fewer of them.  Maybe they can be tacked, on edge, to the outermost grill slat on each side because those suckers do get REALLY bright......

Bob, how about a huge, honkin whale tail with LED turn signal lights?

Gordon:  Semaphores would probably be one modification too much, but it would be unique.  I remember the old Austins, Renaults, etc. had those also.

Marty:  That's what I have decided to do, after seeing people's ideas.  I'll then get a nice back up light.  I'll be going with a Spyder licence plate light once again.

I came across this licence plate frame, meant for motorcycles, but which may be okay for a Speedster.  It has a brake light and signal lights incorporated right in.

It's not enough by itself, but does give one more opportunity for the idiot in the SUV behind you to register in his/her brain that you are stopping/turning.

Hmmm. Never thought of that...but it is a good idea if somehow it could be done.

Bob, put your white reverse lights onto something like this plate and put the red LED turn signals where Henry would put the reverse lights in the fins.  The Turn signals are more important IMHO.  Would that work in your State?

Yes. They are to small for car license plates. These fit 4x7" plates for motorcycles.

Nice idea though.
