Touch a magnet to a push rod.
If it doesn't stick, they're aluminum and you set them to .004 intake and .006 exhaust.
If it sticks, they're chromoly and you adjust them to .000 - .001 for everything.
Do a search on here and I'm sure you'll find a few posts on how to adjust valves of both types.
Remember to put on NEW valve cover gaskets. I don't put RTV on them, others do. I only put a wet film of automotive grease on them, stick them to the cover and assemble the cover to the head.
Oh, and a rag on the floor beneath the covers will suffice to catch the few drops of oil that drip out.
