My valve covers are leaking on my brand new Speedster w/Subaru, 65 mi.

It looks strieght forward, remove the breather hose on top of both covers, spark plug wires(do the plugs need to come out?), and the 6 bolts. All bolts were tight. Any un-forseen problems?

Mine's leaking too. I might swap them side to side, as only one side drips, and it used to be on the passenger side. After the head gasket job I think I put them on opposite sides, and so the leaky one now drips on the cat. That's bad, stink-wise.

Yeah. Torqued to spec--which is given in ln/lbs. New gaskets, everything clean. Apparently these leak just like VW ones leak.

Mine never leaked either. Actually they are rubber seals. I prepped my heads, valve covers and seals first by a thorough cleaning with carb cleaner and admit to applying a very thin layer of gasket goo on both sides. The three bolts that hold on each valve cover have rubber seals too and got similar treatment.

The odd shaped seals are in the upper right of this diagram and the bolt seals are just to the left of them.

I only use genuine Soob parts.
