VDM splines and or Original Porsche Spline/column

Does anyone know which model of bug has the same spline count and size as the original porsche 356A when they had the VDM wheel?

Now this is really testing someones porsche to VW knowledge.

I know that split window and oval window beetles had the same coarse spline, probably up to and including 1957.

Does anyone know where you get the steering columns for the older VW that have the 28 spline count. I understand it's the older ones, but I can't seem to figure out who is selling them? You would have to think someone is making a reproduction or replacement of some kind. Even a place that does similar with the new VW spline the 40 count would be a good starting point.

They have to be getting them from somewhere?
