I have been so busy lately. Try to get one item accomplished per day. There will be light in the tunnel soon. Tonight I have finally tackled the VDO gauge makeover. I didn't like the looks of the old black ringed gauges in my Flare ... so the search went on! Thanks to Bill Clintons old running partner( who was that? ....Howdie Doodie) for the discovery the internet. Just kiddin. Though the internet is a beautiful thing.. especially when it comes to part searching. Well any way ... I decided to eliminated the idea of multiple gauges . I went with the Palo Alto Triple cluster ( oil temp , oil press. and fuel level). Also found out they have glass for the gauges ( most of the kit cars are plastic) and they also have chrome replacement bezels. SWEEEETTTTT! So tonight was the night. The makeover was a success. The gauges look brand A new! P.A. also have bezels for the VDO cockpit style gauges. Also tried something daring. I removed the bezel off one off my Auto meter gauges to see it the PA bezel would fit. It did. Me so Happy!!! and the project continues.
