Just finishing up sorting out the wiring on an '82 Intermeccanica. The "probe" pictured is the only thing remaining for me to figure out where it goes. Do you guys have any idea where this sensor should go? It has "VDO" stamped into it on the side, with two wires(one ground and I suppose the other to the gauge in the dash). Also, what color wire should be comming from the front to the engine compartment for this connection.
Thanks,
Norris

No one has seen a temp sensor like this before? The car was originally built in 1982. It was in a large Porsche collection in Dallas. I bought it from the original owner with only 2500 miles on it about 6 mos ago. Evidently the sensor in question was something VDO used 30 years ago.
Can the VDO temp gauge that is in the dash be used as an oil temp gauge OR a cylinder head temp gauge? The gauge cluster is the typical 3 gauge cluster used in these cars.
