Hello,
My name is Jeff and I live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. I've had an interest in these cars for some time and have probably read hundreds of posts in the archive from this forum over the past few weeks.
Can I gather from the, "tube vs. pan" thread that the verdict is 1) the tube is structurally much stronger than the donor pan frame; 2) the pan-based cars are still no slouch and still a joy to own and drive for the weekend driver; and 3) there would be no harm in buying a low-priced, used pan-based car to see what I like/dislike and THEN spend the money for the relatively higher priced tube-framed cars.
I sat in a 2005 Beck yesterday and fit pretty well. I'm 6'0", will the smaller leg-room of the pan-based cars be too small for me?
Jeff
