Very nice IM for sale at factory

This looks like a lovely example of a recent IM, and the price is definiely right. I'm tempted...

But the lure of the fuel injected Beck/Special Editions is also catching my attention. I need to learn more about the engine and the availability of service parts in North America.

Excuse my ignorance. Are you in California?
If you're thinking of buying you can't go wrong with that car. It has the special construction # already, so it's a breeze for CA registration. The car is very well priced. It is certified pre-owned. You become an IM family member.
AND the car will retain it's value better than any other make.
No offense to the other builders but it's a no brainer.
If you wanted more power you could probably contact Henry and negotiate a larger one.

I'm not in California. In fact, I've probably got more latitude than most buyers. I'm in the Turks & Caicos Islands in the British West Indies. We don't have any import restrictions on cars, just heavy import duties. Duty would likely be ~40% plus sea freight.

On the upside, it only rains rarely and sporadically here, so I could probably even swing a 550. In fact I've been eyeing the 550S from special edition as well. I am a sucker for an FI engine since I'm not particularly handy under the hood...

Our current road inspection process is fairly basic (lights, horn, no visible problems, wheels on tight etc :)), so the CA smog exemption doesn't help me. We definitely don't have smog checks. Most cars are either imported from South Florida or all the way from Japan (since we drive on the other side of the road - despite the fact at least 50% of vehicles are US LHD (including my two)).

That seems like an excellent price for an IM though. And my wife said she loved the interior color when I showed it to her last night...
