A heartfelt THANK YOU to all veterans!
Take a moment of time to remember all those who have served and are still serving and to remember those who have fallen.

My dad did two tours in Vietnam as a platoon sergeant.
gary, were u on the "E"when it caught on fire and returned to Pearl right around that time....we were in Pearl for some major repairs, the LTJG grabbed the first 30 "volunteers" loaded us on a bus and we handled the lines as you guys docked,,that is one BIG ship.
I was not the "Big E" on during the fire. I boarded at Newport News Ship Building and Drydock in VA during refurbishment. We went out on a shake down cruise when they really try and tear it up. As a dental tech, we were trained as back up for the medics in Nam, they were embedded with the Marines, our company was skipped to trained as a medic to be sent to Nam and I ended up the the Big E instead. Yes it was big, I never did the whole ship.

Another 'squid' here. Never served aboard a fleet ship, just the PBR's in the godforsaken Delta, primarily along the Bassac River.

I might have missed it on this site, so if a repeat - sorry.
California has a new program (as of 11-12) to stamp "Veteran" on drivers licenses. Got my application in yesterday and will get a new DL in a week or two. 47 other states have this ID. It took 10 tries (years)and a strong lobbyist to get it thru!
And one more thing, lets not forget the vets at the end of the road.
