David, left a thread on the spyder site, will see what happens.....
this rain can't go on forever, hopefully we will have clear skies..
Good to hear from you again, I started to worry about you....

Kevin,Joe,Mike,Gabriel all know the fun we have driving these things in a pack, so lets see more of you there.....

This is just the beginning of the season in So. Cal. (not that it ever ends) The guys on the other coast only wish they could have
our opportunities....
Hey Vince!

This is one of those rare times I don't envy your weather with all the rain you're having (and expected to last out there through Tuesday!!)

Doing a local "Cruise N Shine" tomorrow here in Beaufort, SC....weather today was upper 70's but turned overcast. Tomorrow is more of the same temps but sunny.

That's why I migrated South!! Ice storms and yucky back in New England!!

Dunkels was great last year, I'm planning on going this year. I hope someone from the long beach area will post the street address of the Denny's and the time to congregate for a caravan to the stadium.

What time do the gates of the stadium open?

With an address and zip code of the Denny's we can conveniently "mapquest" the location.

It might be fun for all of the Speedster and Spyder owners northerly of downtown Los Angeles (San Gabriel and San Fernando Valleys and beyond)to hook-up for a caravan to Denny's. We Could meet close to the intersect. of the 405, and go that way, or we could meet at the intersect. of the 134 and the 5 and then go through downtown to the Harbor Freeway (whatever the number of that one is?).
Hey all,

I look on my Rand McNally and can't find the Veterans Stadium. What are the major road intersections it is near? I believe the action begins at 7 AM. Stopped raining down there yet? We have snow on the ground that has been around for two days now, first time that has happened since we've been here, global warming indeed! There is a low pressure system off the coast that keeps spinning the moisture into our region, that and a cold system that has slid down from Alaska are causing our unusual weather. Only good thing about it is the TV weathermen and women are just vibrating with excitement and are so funny!

On the 405, you get off on Bellflower/south, get in the left lane and Denny's in at the first intersection/ Spring St.
If you get there late
Take Bellflower /North, 3 or 4 signals, stay iin the right lane and follow the signs
If you get on Mapquest look up the Long Beach Airport.
It is a block or two off Bellflower on the west side of Bellflower and the stadium is north and to the east a block or two aswell...
whew !!!
See you there, Deane
Vince, David and all,
I will be at both the Lit/Toy show on Feb 5 and L.A. all Euro Swap on the 6th. Am planning to hook up with Dale B. and John L. on Sat at the Lit show and again on Sunday. John thinks the parking for special interest cars will fill up quickly so if you leave it too late you might be stuck with me and other low lifes in the rental car parking. I will wear my Knotts '04 cap so some of you might find me in the sea of black ball caps! Hopefully we'll bump into one another.
If not we'll see you at Knott's in 3 months.
Rick
No way 5:00 or even 6:00 works for me, its just to frigging early,
There's only one thing that gets me up that early, and you guys
just ain't that pretty.....or equipped properly....
I will mosey in about 8:00 and take my chances....
If the "special Interest" corral is that crowded, perhaps I'll
bring the 912, how many of those could show up....
If some of you guys are still planning to meet at the Denny's
at a reasonable hour, let me know......
Hey Brother.
I had a chance to talk to one of the operators of the Donkels Bros show and they said that for sure it was going to load up fast so get to the gate early..

I want to be sure that we can all park together so that is why I wanted for us all to meet up at the butt crack of Dawn. " Ok I will leave her out of it" But what the hell lets make this the first good showing of speedster owners club members in southern Cali.

And if you have to bring the new car hell thats ok too.
See you all there.

If any of you need to reach me 562-494-9743

While not as big an event as the previous years' Dunkel Brothers shows, the first annual All Euro Show & Swap was pretty well attended...considering the weather was uncooperative.

Dale Bates and I saw Rick Davis, Joe Maddock, Vince Manto, and David Salvato's car (but not David), which was top-down filling up with rain!

A good day which could have been better with some decent weather. Pictures coming soon.
I was there from 7-9am. Saw the (3) 550 Spyders & the (2) Silver Speedsters at the front gate. Who's Speedster had the hard-shell tonneau cover with headrest? I might be interested in getting one of those.

Anyone that attended find anything nice? I picked up another restorable VDM Banjo wheel ($125), set of 4 US-spec overidders ($95) and some drum skinz ($179) Now I just need to locate some US-spec bumper bows to match the overrriders.
I just got home from L.A. and have posted a few pics (rdavis) on the site. Great to see David, Vince, John & Dale in L.A. The Barrett-Jackson Auction is even more insane that it looks on T.V. and I've been there, done that and didn't get the t-shirt (nor did I loose my shirt like some of those guys!). The week following in L.A. was great with sunshine all week and some great shop tours at International Mercantile in Carlsbad, Autos International in Escondito, West Coast Haus (aka Bivens )in Huntingdon Beach, John Wilhoit Restorations in Long Beach, European Collectables in Costa Mesa, Symbolic Motor Cars in La Jolla and events at Crystal Cove, LAX Hilton, and L.A. all Euro Swap. Drove nearly 2K miles on our rental in the 10 days and still had some quality time with our wives while in Newport Beach for the week. Can't beat that! Looking forward to Knott's with the Speedster this time!
Rick
