I am completeing the process of getting a VIN for my Beck here in Michigan. They assigned a number and it begins with "MI".

Does teh CH begin the number or is it in the middle? I have single letters in the middle of my VIN, but not double letter combinations.

As far as I know, Beck and Chamonix are different, but use bodies from the same source in Brazil.
Stefan,
Your best bet is to post some picture of the car, interior and engine compartment. The members here are pretty good at spotting the manufacturer. The VIN is just a unique number on most cars, sometimes assigned by the registering state or governement, sometimes assigned by the builder.

The CH should be followed by an A. This would be a clear indicator, that it is a car manufactured by Chamonix Brasil. The number should be on the right hand side of the rear crossmember of the chassis.
Beck cars are also made by Chamonix but carry their own serial numbers as they are fully assembled and completed in the USA.
