Kirk & Mary just sent me pics of their hardtop they're either getting ready to produce / or already have it available as it looks "finished" in the pics: looks great and appears to also use one piece plexi side curtains. They only sent 3 pics, but I can't figuire out how to post or save tham as they're in a zip file. The hardtop he's produced looks very nice from ten feet away, but no pics of how it mounts or interior, options, headliner if any, etc. I've asked for a price, but they haven't responded back yet. Anyone know anymore about this from Kirk ...or anyone been over to see it....the pic looks like a customer's black VS with tan interior.

Darn Nice! One of our SOC OC locals needs to go to Hawaiian Gardens for a recon.

These will sell like hotcakes. I bet the VS phone will be ringing off the hook Monday.

Theron, have you updated the VS page lately?

Mickey, I would think there would be fitting issues with our IM's but still doable. You have the better chance with your Speedster, my Roadster most likely won't fit.

Great to see Kirk doing new things like this georgeous hard top. Just think of the potential market he has for them---with 2,000 Vintage Speedsters out there he has a ready made market. Same for selling just those hard windows with the generous flap/seal along the bottom.

If you haven't visited the Vintage site lately go take a look. Kirk has added a section for owner's cars that should expand to a few more pages plus he's updated the number of cars produced.

Just very smart marketing.---Jack
FYI: Kirk replied today to my Email about price & availability.
He simply said "still in R&D". We'll all keep an eye out for when a hardtop is available. I'll bet he could sell a few hundred of these pretty easily as it looks very nice and would be a great "weather beater" to extend the driving season. I agree that 1/4 windows would like nice but the B pillar area on the top is curved...still would be a good R&D option once he gets the R&D done for the basic top... I'll buy one for sure.

I was at Kirk's yesterday...The hardtop is very cool, comes with plexiglass windows and the weather stripping makes it a real nice fit overall. He claims each car needs to be fitted individually since they are all slightly different, so that could make it difficult depending on where you live, but perhaps a way can be figured out so that he won't physically need your car.....
He does not have a cost for completed tops yet but I'm guessing your looking in the 2500.00 range anyway...
He said he will send me some pic's, and when he does I will post them..
