I have new 1-1/2" heater boxes to go with. I have $840 all in. Will let it all go for $740.00.

The exhaust does not fit my Thunder Ranch speedster. I Have scene it installed on Jack's Speedster. I believe it is a vintage? Please correct me if I am wrong. Point is, it does fit other makes of replica speedsters.

Paul, after repeated greasings(every couple months) my beam finally wore in, took about 5000 miles. Be patient, you probably don't need a new one. Also, during break-in, I used COFAP shocks, the cheapest ones you can get.

Remember, a Spyder has the beam welded to the frame, replacement is not an option!
Also remember that on original VW bugs, the recommended lube interval on the front beam was every 12,000 miles or 1 year - which-ever - and it usually takes 10-12 pumps on each fitting or until you see it coming out at the trailing arm end.

I bet there are some Speedsters out there that have NEVER had the front beam lubed since the car was built!

I also like TC's idea of drilling through those fancy urethane bushings some of us use and putting grease fittings in to lube them yearly. Makes too much sense, 'cuz they tend to squeak after a while!
I have not greased the beam since owning the car. 2-1/2 years and nearly 20,000 miles. Ill head over to harbor freight this evening and get a grease gun. What type of grease?

I dont have urethane bushings at the trailing arms... and noticed initially I always had gobs of grease right around the seals. No grease in the beam could explain the reason for the absence of grease at these seals lately.

Either way, I am still selling the exhaust :)
Dale,

Not a problem. If i can get my front end back together by tomorrow im going to head up to Frederick for the german car show. Sunday works... next week i hope to be at the beach. We can figure something out. Someone is interetsed in buying the heater boxes, everything is listed on thesamba. you have first dibs... just need to figure something out soon.
