I'd get this one for a replica - it should clear rear valence without having to knotch valence.  Same price.

I was considering getting the exhaust for the replica but it is very expensive to import. I found one,  That is the one I posted and I would save a lot of money but I don't know if it will work? So do you think I  would have to notch the rear valance to fit this exhaust system?

The vwparts aircooled folks used to bring in the Vintage Speed exhausts, I don't know if they still bring them in or how they are on pricing.  I have a lowered TRC Speedsters, the Vintage Speed lowered bus setup worked great.  Other setups dragged on the every speed bump & driveway.  I also have a Vintage Speed sebring setup on my coupe.  Was pricey, but I think the quality was in line with the price.

It's been my experience that even when built by the same builder, our cars can be quirkey and it's risky to presume how stuff will fit.  Presuming the system you like will fit, I don't think you'll be disappointed with system quality.  I like that Vintage Speed includes ALL hardware & gaskets.  Few things have the cool factor of stainless steel on a motor.

Aircooled.net is a dealer. There was an offer that if you gave them a like on their Facebook page you got 15% discount on your order; not sure if they still have it. I did exactly that and got that exhaust from them delivered for $500 back in 2018. It still hangs a little low so you need to be careful when driving over speed bumps, when parking in reverse (to avoid hitting parking bumps), etc. Great quality and it’s throaty but not overly loud.

Here's the 'Speedster replica' version of the Vintage Speed muffler mounted on my 2013 VS.

You can see why they had to produce a modified version to fit our cars. The exit pipe has been offset lower to clear the valence (here there's about 3/4 " clearance).

The 'standard VW' version has the pipes exiting the peak of the muffler's curved surface, so would probably not clear on most of our cars.

Mine is about seven years old, and is numbered 155 204 052, so it looks like they've changed it a little and given it a new number now, but the middle part of the number - the '204' - seems to be what distinguishes one made for replica Speedsters.

When first installed, these pipes also grounded out on speed bumps (like the Tri-mill that was delivered with my car). I had to raise the rear suspension a bit.
