A Vintage Speedster just sold for $ 75,000.00 on BAT I can’t believe it !!!

BaT prices have no relation to reality. Insane.
Then again, a rising tide lifts all boats. At least that's what they say.
New Vintage Motorcars Speedster, older Kirk era Vintage Speedster, or new AZ Vintage Speedster?
************EDIT************
It was an older Kirk era Vintage Speedster acquired by the seller in 2010 so not sure when it was built.
It says 2010 so I think its one of Kirks. Two more have been listed since that sale!
One of the two that were just listed has a opening bid of $40,000.00 people a going Crazy!!
insanity rules all over the place these days....politics too
The car was impeccably detailed and professionally photographed. That should be a lesson to anyone wanting to sell on-line. And it was a sellers dream - two buyers wanted the car badly and battling to the end.
When I have my certified - tagged Meyers Manx 1 completed (May) I'll put it up on BAT and that will be the exact day the insane values will tank....
By happenstance I spoke with the seller this morning. Super nice guy. He said that a bidding war drove the selling price and that a person with deep pockets won the auction. Interesting times
Another currently at 40K. Great color, brand new but a very basic/standard build. Prices are nuts and buyers are more certifiable than their checks.

Another
That green one is gorgeous.
Apparently others like the green one as well, with 5 days to go it is already over $60k. Good grief. And good luck with the auction Roy!
I guess I should call my insurer and up the replacement value. Obviously if you are selling on BAT, you are wise to pay to have professional photos and video done. The green one has a nice drone video too.
Was looking at the old BAT replica auctions and stumbled upon this – the Russian oligarch edition:

4 years ago, bid up to 50K, reserve not met. "Opulence, I has it..."

First speedster here, excited to join the fray. Hopefully it will treat me well!
Any newbie recommendation or feedback on the car welcome!
Well then.....
"Welcome to the Madness"
That's a very nice Speedster and I love the Slate gray. You should be very happy with it (except on those wickedly hot and humid Texas days in mid-summer)
So BidDSpeed is a bit cumbersome - What's your first name?
@BidDSpeed I was watching this on BAT. Great Buy its a really Nice Looking car!!
@Gordon Nichols, it is a bit cumbersome isn't it I'm Yves, nice to meet you guys.
@Former Member, thank you Sir. It appears to be a Vintage Speedster, but not a lot of info about the provenance on BaT. The seller may tell me more, but I was wondering if anybody is familiar with this one maybe.
Nice car congrats and welcome.
Yves, I really like the color combo! Plus it looks like it’s got a Great sound system!
And $41K has suddenly become a great deal on BAT.
I like the color combo too.
@BidDSpeed you got a heck of a deal. Enjoy it. They are a blast to drive
.
@BidDSpeed , welcome.
A number of details say it's a Vintage Speedster. I was going to guess sometime after 2012, and then I saw a September, 2013 date on one of the tires. (So, while there may be lots of tread left, you might want to think about replacing them, as they're now nine years old. Check out the sidewalls for signs of cracking.)
The pedals and carpet show more wear than the underside of the car does. It's probably had a thorough detailing recently. The carbs and exhaust look practically new.
Great looking example - enjoy!

@Troy Sloan good luck on the sale. What’s your guesstimate it will sell for? It looks good it should be up there.
Really hard to say, but the timing is good.
