Thanks for putting this up Jimbo!!

Robert.... we're not bailing! :-) We'll be there for the next runs...just not in the Speedster... and not the SLO run.  It unfortunately conflicted with another trip we had previously booked.

BTW.... forgot to mention in the description that this is the legendary Speedster once owned by the infamous El Diablo - Vince!!

Look forward to catching up with you all soon!

Have fun on your trip and we'll see you on the next run.

Any insights on what you're getting, if you're getting something else? Or are you just not going to have a Speedster anymore?

Well... The Speedster is officially sold and will be on its way to Switzerland after Kirk sends it out!

Attached are some pics of the new ride for now, that we'll be bringing on future cruises. Definitely not real fast, so we'll catch up with you at the bar!

So what are the specs on this speed demon?

This really is a disease. If I could have a good crew cab or a nice split window transporter for a reliable daily driver that would be great. The challenge would be getting up and over the bridge over the bay at a reasonable speed. I traverse that at least once every day. As long as I could get a running start I'd be fine. Slap on safari windows and pop outs and create air conditioning. Bet I could get the passenger cabin temp down to 80 in August at top speed.

Yeah. Getting up and over the bridge daily may piss a bunch of people off... especially in rush hour traffic

Robert, as for the specs:

59 Single Cab, Rotisserie restoration in 2015, New 1600 Single Port, Rebuilt Big Nut Tranny and RGBs, New Front End, Brakes, Interior, Window, and Door Seals, New Gas Tank, new wire harness, and of course, Safari Windows.

55mph (flat highway ) 35ish up hills.... so like i said earlier, we'll be meeting up with you guys on runs!

One of the few vehicles I wish I hadn't sold was my 911 powered 1970 single cab.

The truck went like stink, but the the fellow I bought it from, who owned a Porsche repair shop in Florida, went overboard on the engine rebuild, as in really high compression/cam, but used the stock fuel injection system. Consequently, it never ran properly and was a real b*tch to start.

I sold it to some guy in California.  I miss that truck.
