Hello folks

i have a 1986 toyota MR2. I was wondering if I were to remove all of the body panels on the toyota and "skin/mount" a vintage speedster fiber glass body..

for the most part the dimensions appear to be compatible. the track and wheelbase between the speedster and MR2 seems to be very close.

any thoughts

Real hard to take a steel unitized body where strength is gained from all the pieces and not a separate chassis or pan --- remove those pieces and flop on a fiberglass body. Guess if you are good welder you could do a tubular frame around the unitized bits left. Fiero since it had a fiberglass skin is probably exception -- seen some great Lambos and Ferrari's based on them.
