I have ordered a vintage speedster over a year ago , they seem like a nice team but I don’t see no signs of my car been made . I got a nice email about delays a month ago after I tried calling but it has gone very quiet . Is this the norm , they seem very genuine but I live along way away and can’t just pop in , any advice help would be much appreciated .

Are you dealing with Vintage Motorcars Of California or Vintage Speedsters out of Scottsdale AZ?
Yeah, which one? VMC(California) or the other Vintage(Arizona)?
I'm pretty sure VMC is a 1-2 year wait(and maybe longer for people ordering NOW).
V Arizona is unknown wait time.
I’m guessing VM, as I got the same email from Anna on 1/13.
Andrew is in UK - so added stress on him.
I ordered one from VMC a year ago and it’s near completion. Maybe one month out. Interior going in this week. Their delay was only a couple weeks. @Andrew1111 something sounds off. You should call them.
Maybe someone close can go check on his car and send him some snaps. Might be only right hand drive there.
I wrote this on your other post since you had two but I moved it here since this one has other answers:
We will need a little more information.
When you say you ordered a Vintage Speedster, which company did you order it from? Vintage Speedster in Arizona? Or Vintage Motorcars in Hawaiian Gardens, CA?
The reason I ask is because a lot of people seem to get the two companies mixed up.
Vintage Motorcars is running full tilt getting cars out every week. They have experienced some supply chain delays I'm sure but if you bought your car from Vintage Motorcars you will get a car delivered.
If you bought a Speedster from Vintage Speedsters in Arizona I'd suggest you get down to their shop yourself to find out what is going on. (EDIT, I see you're on the other side of the pond so that's not possible) I think you're going to find out the news is worse than you think. So far there's no evidence they are still in business based on sone of the snooping around some on this site have done.
If you can't contact them by phone at (562) 402-4334 you could try their Midwest Dealer and see what he says. That number is DIAMOND MOTORWORKS TEL: (630) 579–9955.
Another option is to call one of the businesses next to VS and ask them what they've been seeing. Fast Signs is located at an angle across the way from them at 600 N Bullard #7 Goodyear, AZ. Their number is (623) 552-4400. Maybe someone would be kind enough to walk over and bang on the door for you. Or Status Auto Gallery West is directly across from VS and their number is (623) 500-7300.
If it were me I might start asking for my money back.
Hello All,
Pretty sure Andrew is dealing with Vintage Speedsters in AZ .... We don't have any UK orders at this time and between Anna and I we wont go silent on anyone.
Greg Leach
Vintage Motorcars Of California Inc.
My spidey senses are on alert here.
... do you mean Spydey??
Thank you everyone , I have ordered from vintage speedster in Arizona . I think they moved to outskirts of Scotsdale ? Arizona now ? . Iam from England so I have no idea I just have to trust . I do hope Roberts wrong : ( . They do seem pretty nice when I have called and helpful when I email , I have been ignored a few times , they say it’s supply problems ? But they say that’s now sorted and will start in a month and half time my build . Well I do hope so .
I bought a vintage speedster 16 years ago from Vintage speedster in California from a man called Kirk but I had to sell after 5 years of having because of things . I promised my self I get another one ! I thought it was the same company ? Then after some research after I found out it’s been sold a few times now . They put posts on Instagram ? . I really appreciate any help .
thanks
Kirk sold out to the guy in Arizona. He quickly moved his business to Arizona. Problem is he left all of the vintage employees, then unemployed in Hawaiian Gardens. He also left the old building. Greg Leach quickly bought the building and gave all of Kirk’s employees their jobs back. Greg also brought his spyders and coupes back to Hawaiian Gardens. Greg actually started his Spyder business in a small garage attached to the current business in Hawaiian Gardens. I think that old garage is now used for interior manufacturing. Greg is the real deal. Not this guy from Arizona. If at all possible you should try to get your money back and order a car from Greg.
Sad post to read. We've all done our best to alert potential buyers about the history of Vintage Speedsters and the risks of ordering a car from the post 2018 Vintage Speedsters located in Arizona.

@Andrew1111See if you can get an address and maybe we can see if one of our Arizona members can make it by there to check on the progress.
Used address they list here (540 N. Bullard Ave, Suite 24 Goodyear, AZ 85338) - but no business sign for VS or cars in parking lot in progress. Satellite link is Feb 2021.
Goodyear, Arizona - Google Maps
Little recent activity on FaceBook -

That's the place I mentioned in my previous post. I didn't look to see where Goodyear was in relation to Scottsdale though. Now that I have looked, Goodyear is about 30 miles from Scottsdale. Not sure if that equates to "the outskirts of Scottsdale" or not. Seems to be more on the outskirts of Phoenix or even Glendale.
A January 2022 Facebook post still shows them at the Bullard address in Goodyear. And a February 2022 photo of a Speedster is in front of the Bullard location as well. I'd call and have someone from the complex go look and see if they are still in operation.
I'll see if I can swing by in the next week or so and see what's up.
FYI, the old location in Scottsdale I would imagine, be about as high rent as is goes for industrial property, and Goodyear, being on the outskirts of Phoenix/Glendale would be significantly less. These two locations are just about as far apart as you can go and still be "in town".
@SteveinAZ posted:Swung by and sure enough they are operating, six cars completed or close to completion in the shop plus one in gel coat. A couple pans pretty well complete, three older / used cars in the showroom.
Unfortunately for the OP, no RHD’s in sight.
@Andrew1111 Steve, one of our members in Arizona, was able to stop by and confirm they are still in operation. See his note from above.
Well, that's definitely a positive thing!
Thank you so much steveinaz for making the effort to stop in , actually thank you everyone as well . What a community . I have no idea what’s going on been so far away , at least they still operating ! They have said in a month and a half time they going to start building my car 🤷♂️. I really do hope the they genuine and not fobbing me off . I dont feel so alone now thanks to you guys 😃 . I keep you all posted about what happens . When I placed my order I just assumed it everything was the same , same owner and builders , I had such a easy experience all those years ago I really did , I just placed my order and we only spoke once or twice on the phone a few emails it was so simple . That’s the way it should be in life ..
Well I’m glad they are still in business and not a tumbleweed-filled empty warehouse like the other grifter who never even completes any cars.
I was dealing with Matt 623 262 7940 manager of Vintage in Arizona when thinking about ordering a wide body speedster. He always responded to my messages if he didn't answer when I called. He did explain the differences and history between vintage in California and his facility in Arizona. He also provided a reference of a customer he has built for and is currently building cars for. The reference is Rob 817 729 6278. Matt did offer me a slot with a 7 month build time from a customer who canceled his order. After a lot of research I decided to purchase a show room condition Beck Chamonix Speedster from a private party. For what its worth, I came away with the feeling Vintage speedsters in Goodyear AZ is an upfront business with the same supply chain and hard to find competent employees as all the other builders. I just didn't want to wait, even the 7 months. Also I am extremely happy with my private party purchase of the Beck speedster.
Matt from VS Arizona sent me a video of there showroom and back of house where they building cars , they definitely building cars which is great news , everything looks gleaming and impressive . I just feel like mine being delayed for what ever reason . He has assured me it will start in a month . I’m still impressed with help etc from everyone . Thank you .
That’s what we’re here for @Andrew1111. We’ll, that and the beer. Always the beer.
Did you ever get your car from Arizona? We have been waiting as well for a long time.
same company out of Arizona.

He has not. His car wasn't even going to be started until some time this month. And that's if he is lucky.
Hi , I have not as of yet , or heard from them but they should be building the base about now from his previous email . He was very apologetic and he does seem genuine , I really hope so as I so far away . How has your experience been ?
ok thanks all.
