Vintage Speedster Speedo change MPH to KPH

Hi Ive got a 2006 Vintage Speedster in Germany that has had a Speedo change from the original Miles per hour to Kilometers per hour.
Speed seems to be correct but the kilometers driven still seem to be in miles. Counts way to slow. Is there something that the Importer might have missed? Or is it typical that they just dont quite work right? Thanks Brian
