Hello again, Yes VS has increased their prices. Kirk has done a good job of holding them down for the past 6 years however an increase was expected. They went up by $1000 (for the base turn key). I still think that is fair. I had once owned a VS a few years ago and was extreamly pleased. The car was assembled very well and she ran perfectly. The best part about the car was (being an owner of many Prior porsches) that any repair or replacement part was so damn cheap. I once smashed a curb and replaced the entire rim for only $45.00! My 95 993 cab would have cost over $400!
Have a great day & God Bless
It's about $4K- $8K less expensive than ANY comparable car I've ever seen, and I've been watching since 2000. A couple of things look a little fishy though- what's with the selected bidders only thing, and the lack of a real location. If I wanted a car, I'd snap up the buy it now, fly to wherever he is (cash in hand), and hold him to the deal. If he got flakey about losing the title, or having to get the car out of escrow, or needing his mommy's permission- or if he said "just wire me the money, I'll send you the title..", I'd walk. At that price, I'd take a chance on losing the plane fare money, but not the price of the car...

BTW Luke- you got a good deal.
hello All,
I really would like another VS. The last one I had ran perfectly and was very well built. I have heard about complaints about VS finishes / paint however, I was very pleased with the silver paint I had. believe me I am a HARD CORE collector that is very detail concious. Thank all of you for help. I have been looking hard and I am sure soemthing will turn up!
Have GREAT WEEKEND!
I checked that auction and for some reason the guy suspended it last night along with another one he had running concurrently for a (now hear this) 1966 12 cylinder Jag with a Buy it Now Price of $8,200.00 (!!). Something smells fishy to me too...checked on the feedback and there's mention of some of the items sold before and most of them was clothes, suits and even a Barbie doll! Some friends are telling me that some scammers are stealing other users' accounts to commit fraud. This sounds like one of them; either Ebay suspended the auctions because they found out or the guy finally chickened out when he realized what could happen to him if caught.
I have one for sale in Annapolis, MD. Has the black gel-coat, which I've never bothered to paint - looks just fine. Body in good condition,

and has a newly rebuilt 1969 Porsche 912 Engine. Runs incredible! I have to sell it by June because my wife and I just had a baby in February and she won't let me bolt the carseat in the back...and we're moving this summer. $10k. Its such a great car. Let me know if you're interested.

I FOUND ONE!!!!!
Hello All,
I Finally did it. Believe it or not I had sold my silver speedster three years ago because I was moving. Since I have a new garage I contacted the person I sold it to and asked if he would sell it back,,, They did (and 3K less then I sold it for) with only 600 more miles on it and a couple of scratches that I can have fixed. I could have not asked for more.

Thanks for all of your help everyone. See ya' on the road!

Jim
