I see on their website they have a Pre A coupe "coming soon" (not sure if that means pictures on their site or the car itself)
I'm going to call them tomorrow but has anyone built a coupe with them? ....or have any insight?
I'm very interested in building a coupe and a Pre A is the one I would love to have!

I know that in the Spyder world they are considered to have the best frame design, but delivery times are said to be long, variable, and frustrating.
I wonder where they'll get the bent windshields.
The "they can be difficult to work with" seems to be mentioned quite often.
Anyone with experience care to elaborate?
Brandon, there are many threads on spyderclub.com regarding Vintage Spyders and problems with delivery, parts and the like. You may want to check there also. That said I have had 2 opportunities to deal with Vintage (parts), and both times Greg delivered good product quickly, but that was 6 or more years ago....
Danny Piperrato has a Vintage Spyder. I'l bet he can offer some insight.

For those that are interested I spoke to them today.
Supposedly they are 60 days away from taking orders and starting builds....from that point he said they can complete a build in 6 weeks??!!
Interestingly, he said they will be building these in conjunction with Vintage Speedsters which is why they will be able to turn them around quickly.
Bent windshields will be supplied by a manufacturer (forget the name)
Price will be approx $35k.
*I browsed spyderclub.com.....some interesting reads to say the least.
There are always at least 3 sides to every story, his side, my side, and what really happened. To paraphrase the situation from all the blogs on Spyder Club: IIRC there are references to people who waited 5-6 years to get cars that were paid for, and at least one party claims he never got his car, and that was from more than 10 years ago. There are other happy owners who got what they ordered in very short time. One thing that is noticeable, you don't want to get sideways with the ownership, if you want something on a timely basis.
Vintage builds a great car, there are many happy owners, from the comments on SC one might conclude what is not clear is how to get what you want when you want it, or on a committed to date for that matter. I am not trying to disparage Vintage, as previously mentioned my dealings with them have been excellent. YMMV!
