Does your IM have the 3 large gauges (combo oil temp/pressure?) or the 2 large with small one? What white gauges are you looking at that are 4"? Gauges are measured by the mounting hole req'd --- most are 3 1/8" or 3 3/8" --- Porsche 914 are probably larger. From pictures on IM site it looks like larger ones would fit but a lot of work. Most gauges can be opened and the faces changed which might be another option.
Those are the gauges that CMC pushed with their kits back in 1990 --- CMC's list price was $325 (ha, ha!) I actually pulled mine like that and sold them on the Forum here. I would recommend sticking with VDO gauges as they are much higher quality (even the new VDO far east ones) and if one goes bad you can replace the single gauge readily. The Cockpit series have a new looking white face gauge and there is an old looking Cockpit Royale Classic series (Roman lettering white face with chrome bezel). Check them out at www.cip1.com

I have a set of black face gauges on my Fiberfab/CMC MG TD that I believe were the same as those supplied for the Speedster Kits by them at that time. Do know of a company that has replacement gauge faces in white for those? This kit was my first build- a real basket case, but am almost done- have been restoring w/ my oldest as a father/son project and want to do a Speedster next.

I'm not sure you can even get the bezel off the CMC Vintage gauges without destroying them. I've only seen replacment faces for OEM and VDO guages. There is a good article on Pelican on doing the job.

For a TD classic --- why not look at the VDO Cockpit Royale guages - they even have a gas gauge that says PETROL.

Might be someone on the Forum willing to trade you -- the Black face are more Porsche looking.
