2007 Vinatge Widebody Speedster for sale: Pewter silver over burgundy leather. Beautiful condition, 2110cc motor, 4 wheel discs, A/C, AM/FM/CD/MP3, full tonneau, 2900 miles, cylinder head temp gauge. Never tracked, never washed (cleaned weekly), no rain.

As it is listed on eBay, I cannot reveal reserve price, but I assure you it is quite reasonable.

I love this car,. It runs like a top. I simply need to make room in the garage for a new arrival.

Did you really have the wheels chromed? If not, they are actually polished aluminum.

Alan, I do not understand what you are saying about ebay stopping the auction. I just queried "porsche speedster". 23 cars came up, of which 15 (including mine)are replicas !

when i sold my speedy ebay yanked it off with no notice and reinstated it under kitcars, i believe.

Tom, for whatever reason eBay has a case of the arse when a replica is listed under Porsche 356 they usually delete said auction..it needs to go under Kit Replica classification.

It only gets kicked off when someone files a complaint. I located the one who complained about me PCA ?FTDR@E#$!$$^&. Ebay just kicked me off and sent me an email that I was posted incorrectly. Had to do the ad over after I had 23 bids on the car.
Gee Tom keep it about 8 more months and maybe we can make a deal.

Initial eBay auction has come and gone, with the bidding getting to within $100 of the reserve ! I have spoken with interested parties in CA, MD. CT & TX. In the interim, I have relisted the car w/ eBay today.

Tom, I can't believe it got within a hundred bucks of your reserve and you didn't let it go....but you go thru the headache of doing it all over again...

The method to the madness of selling a car, if it doesn't sell, wait a week, acquire a new flock of lookers and raise the price. Most potential buyers a have a budget in mind and will buy at the high end of their budget assuming that they are getting the best value for their budget bucks.

$100---to each his own. I would have said "bye bye" to that Speedster.
The hassle to re do it all is not worth $100 to me!

Jack, Tom doesn't have to sell his Speedster, that's the reason for sticking to his reserve. I don't blame him for that, he knows what it's worth and what he wants for it. Look at it this way; You have a car you love and haven't a thought of ever selling it, if someone wanted to buy it would you sell it for less than you have in it even if it was $100 less? Don't give that beauty away Tom!

I do believe it cost money to post an ad on ebay, especially with pic's, so we are actually talking less than the hundred, X2 because he posted it again....or so he said....
if it cost 25 dollars to post the ad, it falls off and he posts it again for another 25, now we are talking 50 bucks, who's the crazy one....
I'm just saying it makes no sense to me....that's all...

I know, I know, in today's economy a $100 buck ain't squat but for us old timers $100 bucks was more than a month's pay in the service. Now I spend that and then some on a league night at the bowling alley. And now you're selling the T-Bird? Geez Vinnie you go through cars faster than Hugh Hefner goes through bunnies.

Nolan...T-Bird isn't for sale, but the point is that whatever the asking price would be, the hundred would not stop the sale....
selling stuff can be an aggrivation that I would just as soon get out of the way ASAP, haggling over a few bucks is not worth my time or energy, which was my point in the first place....especially when we are talking over 20K...that's 1%, if you think about it, that makes it even more rediculous.....

I only knew that the bidding had gotten to $100 from the reserve until after the auction was over & a bidder in Texass (yes I spelled that correctly), told me that his max bid was over the reserve, but eBay did not execute his max bid. Then he said he wanted the car, then he said he was fine w/ sending a deposit. Then he didn't return phone calls or text messages..................

eBay is full of tire kickers. I have it relisted & I have two other people from the first auction telling me that they are coming (from CT & MD) to see the car. Am I holding my breath ???????
