Hey, all...

I have some business at Disneyland (of all places!) next week, and I'm hoping to free up Thursday morning (June 1) for a visit to Kirk's place, which is just 15 minutes away.

I've never been, and I hope he has a few minutes for a quick tour.

Anyway, I'll be taking a camera, of course. If any of you has a car in progress, I'll be glad to snap a few for you. Additionally, if there's a part of the operation (that's not top secret) that anyone else has always wanted to see, or something else I might not think of, here's your chance. I'll try to get whatever I can.

I haven't called to schedule this visit yet, but let's assume it'll work. Lemme know what you want to see!

I was there last week I was on vacation and I was in the area! I purchased a extra Clutch Cable just for a spare! Kirk and Kathy are so cool and friendly! The last time I was there 6 months ago Kirk gave me a tour of the Shop! Have fun Vintage Speedster is a neat place to visit! Seems like VS have no secrets straight forward business!

Aloha, Kawika

Well, you all have me extremely revved to visit. I'm really kidding about the "top secret" stuff. I just didn't want to accidentally betray any trade secrets by blundering around snapping pics like a doofus.

Wow, Ernie... to be picked up from my hotel in a Speedster would ROCK! I won't count on that, but I hope to see them as thick as ticks on a hound when I get to the shop.

Only you, my forum friends, can appreciate the feeling of finally (after 18 years) being on the verge of acquiring something that acquired ME so long ago. I just get (and sound) stupid if I try to describe to anyone else how this car makes me feel, so I don't try. I've just become an accomplished daydreamer. I've logged more mental miles than any insurance company would ever underwrite!

My budget has me on the pre-owned track for sometime next year, but I may be driven to madness by my proximity to so many Speedsters. Perhaps I'll end up leaving an order behind...

Anyway, guys, thanks for sharing your thoughts and your cars. I say it and I mean it: you provide a public service just by driving. You inspire dreams and conjure memories and plant seeds you may not even know about. But those of us who are still waiting watch you with a longing you remember...

Look for me to serialize this saccharine story in the Saturday Evening Post in June.

Have a fun Saturday, all.
Now get out and DRIVE!
