On Wednesday 7th September I'm at Bear Mountain. Thursday 8th September Mystic, Connecticut and on Friday 9th, I catch the ferry from New London to Orient Point on Long Island. I'm at a beach-house in Mattituck on Long Island for ten days, ie till the 19th September.

I've looked at the Registry and there are a few Speedster Owners in these areas. Is anybody available for me call in upon and browse Speedsters?

If anybody happens to visit England, I am always pleased to make you welcome.

Regards,

Mike Carmody - Speedster Owner from England.

Dan, Gordon, David and all the other guys, I apologise for the delay in getting back on the thread. I'm in the Middle East just now and am not on the Net every day.

I arrive at Bear Mountain Inn about 1900 or so on Wednesday evening, 7th September and shall be driving across to Mystic the next day - Thursday. On Friday afternoon 9th September, I catch ferry across to Orient Point from New London. I'll be in Mattituck for ten days. I can catch the ferry back to Connecticut at some time through those ten days.

We have a house on Sound Beach Drive whilst there so would love to have anybody visit! Out the front door is the beach, so............ Beach Bar-B-Q's????????? Just don't tell me it's going to rain in September!!!!!!!!!!

I looked at the Lime Rock website

Really interesting. I've seen some photographs before from the PCA site. Elements of Mallory Park

Thanks for all the replies. I'll bleep with my details

Looking at the Registry again, I see Wayne Nowland and Charles Kiesel are listed on Long Island - albeit a few miles away. I'll try and get in touch with them.

As always with these occasions, I regret not being able to bring my Speedster across. New England, even this early in the Fall, is great cruising country! Real Summer top-down stuff! Unfortunately I'll be in a Chevrolet Aveo! Having said that, I see it was raining yesterday in Mattituck!

My daughter is slipping up from Manhattan for a week with us - says she's always wanted to have a Mystic Pizza! I remember the Red 911 full of fish in that!

"Somewhere in Time" is up North of the I-95 interstate highway. I've been there, and it's OK, but it's like a lot of other 50's style diners all over New England. I usually end up at the clam shack just North of the "Mystic Seaport" on Greenmanville Ave. Not terrific, but good views of the inner harbor and tourists (good Lobster roll, though). All of the better seafood places are down on the shore (along Stonington Road) I'll ask my son's Bro-in-law for some recommendations and report back.
