already voted for Ruby!
The choice was a no brainer
Yes. I voted for Jim Ward's dream car...glad to see it is still as beautiful as ever.
Done!
Done.
+1 RIP Jim Ward - you will always be remembered here on SOC!
I voted for Ruby (of course!) Al has done a remarkable job with this car and not only does it look fabulous it runs like a scalded dog! Al and Bobbi once drove to Hot Springs and caravaned with me and Alice to Carlisle and we weren't passed the entire trip.
btw--the voting on this deal is suspect to me because the car that has the most votes has a picture on the voting page that is so dark it could be a mule and a wagon. No way folks could tell what it is enough to vote for it. I suspect Hillary is somehow involved. Y'all get with it and put a vote in for Ruby!!
I dun do it, Al.
Beautiful car - I voted. Btw, any catch with the free subscription offer to the magazine? I didn't even know this magazine existed until now.
Bill
No catch Bill. Free is free! I've been receiving the magazine for almost 4 years.
Done! Good luck Alan

I don't get the magazine, but they did do a nice story on my IM6 Speedster a couple of years ago. The fellow writing the article was great to deal with, and the only error was in calling me a physician. But that made a nice angle to the story :-).

Thanks Al - I'll give it a try!

Another one for the Gipper and I agree with Jack!
I'll give a plug to the magazine as well. It's free and yet the quality is better than any previous kit-car related magazine. It covers a broader spectrum of collector cars beyond kits, and is really a good read.

You're right Lane. But, it doesn't have Max's column. That column alone made the rest of the mag worth the price of admission.
X2.

@DannyP Danny: Max has a weekly email column that he sends out. It's not always car related, but it's a great read. I love his writing.
And you know he has a Facebook page?

Keep em coming! Determined to move into first place. As you'll see when you go to place your vote, there are 5 Cobras, one Miata, and Ruby. The lead Cobra is difficult to see(quality of picture). Thanks to everyone that has voted.
Vote cast....... Avoid Biden...... What else am I supposed to do????
In '09 Heidi and I stood holding umbrellas in a lightning storm over Henry while he worked on Ruby's carbs.
You bet your butt I'll vote for Ruby!
We are so looking forward to seeing you and Heidi. Thanks Al for the reminder of just how great the folks in this group are. It rained really hard that day. Drowned rats comes to mind!
Two years later, in 2011, I attended my first Carlisle adventure. Odd, but there I was with a small group of attendees trying to stay dry from a downpour under a tiny roof. And then, there it was, Ruby, in all its gloriousness, parked right in front of us and other more experienced members all mumbling something about Ruby. It was at that point I realized that you owned a Speedster with a high bar to jump over if I were to get into this group. It certainly needs to stand head and shoulders over those two Cobra replicas. Can I vote twice?
@alnbobbikay..2005 Intermeccanica "RUBY"- What's the count up to?
The next person that votes can get the count. Will that person please post the count? Thanks!
Here is AL's vote count so far:
96 votes "Penny's SPF MKIII"
66 votes "Al's Intermeccanica"
64 votes "Gary's Unique Motorcars 427"
6 votes "Wade's FFR Cobra"
3 votes "Gene's Cobra"
2 votes "Erik's Monster Miata"
A quick response to Al's post. Penny's SPF MKIII has not gained any ground. RUBY, however has gained at least 40 votes, so far. Keep the momentum going. Get the word out. Let's have a very strong showing for Speedsters.
67 votes "Al's Intermeccanica"
64 votes "Gary's Unique Motorcars 427"
6 votes "Wade's FFR Cobra"
3 votes "Gene's Cobra"
2 votes "Erik's Monster Miata"
Voted yesterday, tried it again today and guess what? Yes we can!
Yes we can, but as an experiment I voted twice in quick succession and the total didn't change.
