I have a 2003 VS that I purchased used about 6 months ago and I'm getting ready to lower both the front and rear. The front beam appears to have some sort of adjusters but I'm not sure what type. The upper beam has what looks to be a typical adjuster with screws at 2 o'clock and 5 o'clock but the lower beam has only one adjusting screw at 5 o'clock. All of the articles I've read about these adjusters seem to indicate that two adjustment screws are required. Are adjusters available with only one screw or am I missing something?

I've attached photos for clarity.

Gordon said it--my VS does have a surprisingly soft ride. Not harsh like an old corvette but a smooth silky feeling driving it. I don't mean a "floating" ride like an old Buick but super stable but smooth.
It's a really nice ride ---I want to ride in some other Speedsters to see how they ride---mine is the only one I've ever been in.
with that setup - you only have three options.

1) weld in another lower adjuster to do the traditional setup.

2) remove a few torsion bars (spring plates in the beam). no adjustment with this option.

3) leave it

i removed 1 full and 2 x 1/2's on mine and it made such an improvement. i cut off the ends / middle of the ones i took out and welded them to the others (see my site for exactly how i did it). these cars are too light to use the full pack. with the full pack - i had no suspension movement. after - i had firm, but correct range of movement. then added all the other goodies to the suspension (adjusters, narrowed, air suspension, tie rods).
