VS color code (black) ?

Hello

I have sent a email to "Vintage Speedster" a while ago- but have got
no reply- so I try here.....
I got a 2008 VS which is black (see attached image)- I want to fix some minor defects in the paint, but need to know what colorcode this is.

Anybody who can help me ?
(have tried to search in forum, but can't find anything)

Actually FWIW most manufactures use the same color code for Black (basic black) its like "999" or close. Its all just "Black" or "Nero" whether Audi though Zebra.

What I learned about black. I always thought that black was black
even after working with Dupont Paint 'way back in the early 60's when that was pretty true.

When I took my BMW bike to the finest paint shop in the area I learned that just like white, there are quite a few shades of black. and he used the paint code to get the right black. He used the German Glasurit paint and it looks two inches deep but more important, it's the correct shade of black.

The lessons never end, do they?

Black:
You need to use the ..same exact original color and brand .. to get a repair to blend or you will have what is referred to as an edge i.e. a color step from the old to new paint.

White - the absence of all colors.

Black - the presence of all colors.

Obviously, Glasurit and PPG have expanded on the laws of physics!

So, someone from outside of America asks a valid question and gets five non-answers.

Now, can someone near Vintage call Kirk or Mary and get Jim a good answer?????

WHITE is the INclusion of all color

Google it and you will find arguments for both of your definitions. I say the two of you get together and punch it out. First one with a black eye wins!
