Can you do that After the fact?

Well ... that wasn't one of the things I even considered. No idea. I sent an email to enquire about details so that may be the answer I get.

I would assume there would be some modification involved fore sure.  I would be curious about their response

Here's the Carrera Coachwerks hard top.  Some minor mods would need to be made based on Speedster manufacturer, but nothing major.

 

On the subject of hardtops, I was thinking of maybe adding a coupe next year. Staying with the Outlaw theme ... dropping it, put a bit more into the power-plant and and suspension and doing a matt gray / almost primer color paint with an off center rally stripe in bright white pearl.

And coincidentally, doesn't Carrera Coachwerks do a coupe?

It looks similar to a Plasticon except for the top covering the windshield posts

I asked Kirk at Vintage Speedsters and he was hesitant about manufacturing the top or replacing the current engine lid with a more appropriate Carrera louvered deck lid without having the car onsite. Which isn't impossible but definitely not convenient given the distance between New Hampshire and California.

I agree with Kirk, the hard top fit can vary a bit and the deck lid ( while others say there purchased louvered deck lids have fit, may need a scooch of fitment here and there..
