I'm in the process of assembling a VS wide-body roller, and the interior is my next step.  The VS provided seat tracks, do not have a provision for front-to-back seat adjustment, but as my wife is 5 feet 4 inches and I am 6 feet, I definitely need to be able to move at least the driver's seat position.  I spoke with Russ at Fibersteel, and although he said that he had a "generic" model seat track that would fit VS seats, the dimensions he quoted seemed too wide.  The VS seats have a seat track mounting pair of ridges that are 10.25 inches max width, which would require the mounting holes to be 9 inches center-to-center, but Russ said that his tracks required the mounting holes to be at 10.25 inches.  Anybody out there utilized Fibersteel seat tracks ?   I did take a look at perhaps using 914 seat tracks, but they are quite a bit wider for my VS seats.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Troy,

Yep, I've been talking to Kirk ever since the roller was delivered.  The list of things that were not sent with the car is long, but I'm reluctant to say anything further, because it tends to rile members up when anything is said about Kirk.   Let me just say that "most things" that weren't originally sent, were delivered, but sometimes it took repeated queries to get everything.

The overall width seems ok, but the "seat to track" mounting holes concern me.  The VS seats have a mounting base of 10.25 inches maximum width, and the "center to center" hole distance to mount the VS seats to proper tracks, is approximately 9 inches max.   I sent Speedway Motors an email query and asked them what the center to center hole distance is on their tracks, but do you know what the distance is ?

Don't have a set in hand (but specs say 11.5" mounting holes center-to-center) - assuming holes are already drilled in floor pan, fill them and redrill new ones or (my choice) you can drill new mounting holes in the new seat track to match.  I used similar tracks supplied by CMC (in '89) which didn't have the feet shown on these.  I added a 1/2" oak strip to set them up out of the carpet.  Be sure to mount with extra steel reinforcement - big washers or a steel strap.
