Mommy was out of town so I decide at the last minute to take the girls up to the VSCCA race at the New Jersey track. I had spoken with Alan Shapiro about it and he said he'd be there so off we went. My buddy was running his Lotus 7 and there were TONS of beautiful cars that you could just walk right up to and stick your face in. I spent most of my time yelling "DON'T TOUCH THAT!!!" to my 6 and 3 year old daughters but we had a blast nonetheless.

Wish I had known about this, would have been there in a flash. Instead I was trying to explain to Baltimores finest that my car looks and sounds like it is going much faster than it really is. He laughed as he shook his head. He wasnt buying it. Good guy though, let me off with a warning and didnt say a thing about my California registration/plate.

Yes Alan, I knew that was Ruby. I was just making a joke. I did look for you but didn't see you either time we walked by.

It was a really nice time. Just Dad and the girls. Of course my older (Tess 6) just wanted to do the inflatable slide and jumpy thing, get her face painted with a princess, etc.... the little one (Sydney 3) kept saying "Daddy, I wanna see the race track. Where are the cars?". God, I love that kid!

Gordon,
If all goes well I may be able someday get Syd in my kart and out on track. :)
Gerd,

I love it.

Bubble gum. How ya going to butch up that ride?

And if your not pulling our leg, I'd roll it!

Cheers

Mickey, those are some great pictures. I think we'll be meeting you at the big acronym next year at least once.
Al, that Ruby's awesome. Will you ever be taking it out onto the track surface, or will it always be trackside while you're volunteering? I'd sure like to see a racer-looking photo!

Gerd, that's absolutely the loudest car ever.
Right on. When's Vince coming to pick it up, and how much did he give you for it?
