A bunch of folks in the Charleston, SC local VW scene, along with some other folks from the southeast are hosting VW Drag Night here in July. Check out http://www.vwdragnight.com/ for details. Associated with this is a party on Kiawah Island the night before. Music is provided by the band Plain Jane, who is also one of the sponsors of the drag races. Scott Sain, the lead guitarist, is very active in the local VW scene and owns several reeeeeally nice cars. He and another fellow are racing their turboed street bugs for pink slips as kind of the main event. Y'all come!
