Just bought a Speedster from Automotive Legends (advertising on EBay). It is a VS car, built by AL but undercutting - I think , VS. Mex 1915 lump which seems to have a mixed review. The car is currently at the shippers ready to sail for Germany where I am. Can't wait to get my hands on the car......

the car currently has 160 miles on it, looking at threads on this site 1st service would seem to be 300 miles is this right? looking to use a 20-50 (no mad temperatures here!) and the synth transmission oil other threads seem to recommend.

The car looks pretty much like any other VS but perhaps posting some pictures of it going around the Nurnburg ring might be good!

Tim:

Try this schedule (actually, the builder should provide you with a schedule, too:

www.aircooled.net/gnrlsite/resource/articles/engnbrkn.htm

This is what I use as a schedule on engine's I've built:

60 miles (100 Km's)): Change the engine oil, change filter or flush screen

300 miles (500 Km's): Change the engine oil, change filter or flush screen, set valves

1000 miles ((1700 Km's): Change the engine oil, change filter or flush screen

3000 miles (5000 Km's): Change the engine oil, change filter or flush screen, check valves, drain transmission oil and replace with synthetic 90 wt gear oil

Every 3000 miles (5000 Km's) there-after: Change the engine oil, change filter or flush screen, check valves
