Hi, I'm a relatively new owner of a 2010  intermeccanica which I really enjoy. I read many posts and felt they made the one I wanted. I visited them and they have a nice small factory and are very helpful.  The owner has been available to help me when needed which is nice. From my experience, Their American importer is not pleasant to work with and also not that helpful.

I think the leather seats are great,  mine are heated which is nice in the winter. I wouldn't consider an alternate.

I really wanted A/C  when I was configuring my dream car but ended up buying an amazing used one without it.  the Windows do the job in bad weather and obviously a/c isn't needed with the top down. I would have it if I was custom building one but definitely don't suffer without it. I also have an accessory hard top which I think is really useful in the colder months.

I don't have much confidence in their resale value, I would plan for the worst case scenario and enjoy it as much as you can!

I'm in New York City if you wanted to see mine.

good luck!
David

Wow! great info for Scott and myself included thanks to all for posting. I'm also in the NVA the area Oakton.  I've been lurking and researching on the Speedsters and do appreciate all the info I've been able to find out.

My first car in 1972 was a 1967 Bug, next was a 1970 914 (not a 6), then two Spitfires, one a GT-6 and my last sports car in the mid 80's a 1972 Lotus Europa S-II a great car.  So, so here I am now my girlfriend having had a 2008 Cayman and now a Z4 wanting next a sedan.  What choice do I have? I have to go for a Vintage Speedster if possible or a Beck. Always loved the tub and the Spyder.

Chris, I'd love to see your Speedster it looks like one that I would want. I recently spoke to Todd in Jacksonville as he just sold his beauty that looked much like yours in color etc.

I'm hoping to meet Syl & Maggie at the Occoquan car show today if it's still on (do to rain it may be cancelled) so I can ask a ton of questions. Most of mine have been answered.

I like what Sacto M. wrote "just when you think you've asked your last question, you think of two more".

Thanks to all again,

Pete
