I've got a set of Italian 48IDA's that are still in the original boxes and have never had gas through them- $2500 sound fair?

You're aiming so low, Al. If 6 hole Webers are worth $10K, then the going rate for NOS carbs should go be about $1666.66/hole. By my math you should be asking about $6667 for your NOS IDA carbs.
They'd make great-looking legs for a Shushi table in someone's "Man Cave"!
I love the sellers justification for the "fair" price. It may be fair, but it is totally nuts.

I wish, Stan; wouldn't that be a kick in the pants...
Cheesh, now even the value of carbs is affected by their history. Virginal mounting flanges!
I'll bet the owner's kicking himself that he never had the carbs blessed by the Archbishop of Bologna.
Look people, I know just a smidgin more about carbs (any carbs) than I do about complex inflationary pressures on the dollar...But I am aware over the past two years of the escalating asking prices for Dellortos!!!!
Supply and demand. They simply aren't made anymore.
If I were wackier than I am I'd purchase and shelf every Dell I could afford as not only a hedge against inevitable inflation, but because of the "Dellorto Mystique Reputation" they're guaranteed to appreciate too.
OK, Mitch, THAT was pretty dang funny!!
I wonder if it's the same seller who wanted $2500.00 for a concourse ready Porsche key fob?
That looks like a lotta dough but I wonder what it would cost to make a set from scratch.

Ask PMO: they built a better Weber, which is pretty amazing in and of itself. They're expensive... but not $10K expensive.
