Wanted - Dellorto 36 DRLA parts, please HELP!!!!

Looking for a float for a dellorto 36 DRLA, and possibly a gasket set/needle valve/seat.

I desperatly need these parts as i just rebuilt the motor, weather is nice, and my speedy is in the garage with a cracked float:( HELP

I believe I wrote a post in which I told you to check with CB Performance; they still carry a few Dellorto replacement parts. If not try Gabrielle on Ebay store (username alfa1750); he was the fellow who sold me my 40's. He's located in Italy but he provides quick service (I got my carbs in a week) and good prices (and that includes reasonable shipping costs). Good luck!

Yes, i checked with CB preformance, by the time I get the parts here in canada, it would cost me over $180.00 CDN for 2 rebuild kits, and 1 float, all i really really need right now to run is the float, i just can't bring myself to spend that kind of $$$ on a few carb parts, it's robbery.

Martin - there's a VW shop close to my office that usually has odd-ball stuff like that in their shop! I'll check with them this afternoon about the float (and gaskets/needle/seat) you're looking for. I'll let you know what I find out by tonight(PST).

wow jim, awesome, i've never had anyone try that hard to help someone out, hope you don't go out of your way.

I did find a guy on the samba selling new dellorto parts, he has awesome feedback, i just can't get a hold of him.

He's selling both master rebuild kits for $46US, and the float for $25US, that's alot more reasonable than CB preformance, they want $30US for the float (not that bad) plus a whopping $80 for both gasket sets. The other problem is that i'm in canada, and they only ship UPS, so then i have to pay tax, and broakerage, which will come out to almost $200CDN for just a few carb parts, and that's insane. I can make the gaskets, but i refuse to pay so much for it, it's just insane, free trade my ass!!!! The guy on the samba will ship uspostal, so i get around the duty, and brokerage which in its self can cost more than the parts!!!!

i guess i'm still looking, what i really need is a float for a dellorto 36 DRLA. This guy on the samba is just really hard to get a hold of. I hope he is still alive!!!
